Play Game (Without Thinking About It)

Pattern play and heightening can often get us stuck in our heads, trying to think out our moves instead of playing the moments of the scene. In this class, we'll get out of our heads and into the scene. We'll focus on the simple improv behaviors that will help us create fun patterns and rich, tight games. This will be a scenework-heavy class with plenty of individual focus and notes.

• Head Instructor at the Magnet Theater, a performance space and training ground for the best and brightest comedic talent in New York City

• Adjunct Professor at Columbia University, teaching improvisation in the MFA Acting program

• Rick has been performing and teaching improv since 1999, and has taught at festivals and companies around the globe
