About the event
Learn the basics of writing short sketch comedy pieces like Key & Peele and Saturday Night Live! This introductory course is an overview of popular sketch formats and how to turn funny ideas into even funnier written sketches. Each week, students will engage in writing exercises that will practice formulating first drafts of sketches. Students will leave the class with an understanding of popular sketch formats and a portfolio of writing. Students should have access to a computer and be prepared to work outside of class, preparing sketches for presentation in every class.
