About the event

How to Host an Improv Show

Hosting isn’t just about speaking to the audience—it’s about guiding them, setting the tone, and creating a sense of flow. In this workshop, we’ll focus on the essential tools of a strong host: opening the show with clarity and energy, introducing games and scenes with confidence, and helping the audience understand what’s happening (without over-explaining).

You will get practical experience hosting short-form games and mock long-form sets, all while learning how to bring your own personality to the role—because strong hosting starts with knowing how to sound like yourself, not someone else.
